November 2025 - Bob leaves the hospital after winning his fights with esophageal cancer and Afib.
In Nov '24 Bob's cardiologist hospitalizes him for...
...heart issues and puts in a pacemaker.
In Feb '25 his endocronologist diagnoses prostrate cancer
...but before the doctors can treat it, they discover esophigal cancer.
They put in a feeding tube, which remains for 5 months, and start radiation and chemo.
Neither works, and Bob decides to have the cancer surgically removed.
It takes 13 hours, two surgeons, and a robot, but the surgery works.
To add insult to injury though, fluid starts to build around his heart
...requiring another surgery to make a permanent drain.
Twice after, Bob's heart stops due to afib, requiring cardio-versions.
But finally, after 35 days in the hospital, losing 70 pounds, undergoing two operations, and enduring countless procedures ... FREEDOM.
There's still more radiation to come for the prostrate cancer, but with Jane's continuing support...
and Karen's,
...and Kevin's, and the rest of his family's, he'll beat this too.

Welcome to Fingerboard-Productions.com.

I built this website for practice, but as it got better, I realized it was an easier way to get to OneDrive, where all our family photos and videos are stored. After a while, I saw that a Family News page and a Notable Deeds page were useful additions, and it was a natural step from there to an Articles page, a blog, that allowed me to spout-off on things of interest.

This last purpose is a pressure-release valve. I can write about things and then let them go rather then stew over them. This underrated benefit made me stop wondering and worrying if the site was "useful enough" for visitors. Now, I support it without this concern. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have visitors and even happier if they find some value here, it's just that I don't fret about it anymore. As Ann Landers said, "At age 20, we worry about what others think of us. At age 40, we don't care what they think of us. At age 60, we discover they haven't been thinking of us at all." By the way, the pictures are me at 20 and at 60+. 

Regarding security... I did require a password in the past, but eventually dropped it. The site is already restricted by only sharing its URL with those who might have an interest in its content, that is, friends and family. In addition, I don't put anyone's personal or identifying information on the site or in any of its linked files.
